1. I need to detect AC(alternating current) Main Line has a current or not. 2. This has to be a non-contact, I will place ac main wire near this circuit. It should give digital output to my controller. 3. Use any non-contact hall effect sensor to detect. 4. Neutral will not be available.

Hello, The most effective instrument to measure the AC current flow in the main line is a current transformer. By choosing an appropriate current transformer, we can get the results without contact. Like you said, the other method is a hall effect sensor. I have used both of these methods to detect current in systems that I have developed. Hello, I am an electronic engineer experienced in analog electronic design. For your project what you need is a transformer where the magnetic coupling is between the AC cable and a solenoid winding , ie. PCB coil. When the winding approaches a certain distance. This is coupled and an alternating current is obtained in which it is then rectified and detected with a comparator OP amp, giving the digital signal. Some questions arise: how will the circuit be fed? must it have its own power, or remove it from the coupling of the AC line, the digital signal, it would be convenient to use a transistor in an open collector if it is a long cable ?.
