Signboard Design

The Local Administration, Bathinda, Punjab is in the process of setting up around a hundred Public Libraries christened “THE YOUTH LIBRARY” in as many villages throughout the district. These libraries are to be set up as modern libraries with digital content etc to appeal to the young children and youth. The sample photos of one of the libraries thus set up is attached, along with the signboard that was used but later considered to be too casual and unrefined for the purpose. Therefore, we are looking for a re-designing of the LOGO as well as TEXT to give the project a more serious and dignified appeal without being drab, and that can be replicated for easy recognition and recall-ability across the villages of the District. One idea that appealed to the creators is the National Library of Singapore Signboard which is attached herewith for reference. The Signboard will have a LOGO and the text that is required to be contained in the design is as follows: "Youth Library (*________________Insert Name of the concerned Village)" -The Design needs to be "3D" as in the National Libraries of Singapore design so that it projects out rather than being printed in 2D. -The LOGO on the signboard will also be utilised on the Membership Cards and related stationary etc, -the previous attempts at design and actual logo as used are only for reference and need not be used in the new design -the same signboard would be replicated across all the libraries with just the name of the village modified -It would be preferable to have the name of the Village designed in PUNJABI language. -It would be optional to include the words "YLB" in capitals to refer to "YOUTH LIBRARIES, BATHINDA" in short form.
