I am in need of a map that indicates/highlights every school (& type of school may it be a public, independent or catholic – Primary, Junior/High School –and on a smaller scale Secondary facilities such as TAFE or University), all day care/childcare/after school care facilities and all aged care facilities in a particular area. The Children’s schools, aged-care facilities (live in and aged-care/senior complexes) and all Child care facilities (not home day cares though) are the primary focus of the map.
The map also needs to indicate all the other important information such as water, roads (freeway, highway, major road, secondary, tertiary, unsealed, walking track, cycle-way,) national reserves & parks, public transport (ie: bus access and public train railways/link stations), hospitals, police, fire station, golf courses, swimming centres, airports, camping, museums etc.
The area of which I need this completed for in The Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and Lower Hunter Valley Region of NSW, Australia.

I'm Natalia and I'm a researcher. I'm experienced working with Qgis. I can develop your maps following the next steps:
1- If you don't have the lon/lat points of the schools, I'll have to look for them on The Internet. I can do scraping on different pages to find a list of schools, and then geocoding to locate them according to its coordinates.
2 - Schools can be later represented on a map, by using a GIS software. It means that locations of school would be highly accurate.
3 - I'll have to look for all the background layers, roads, and so on.
4 - Finally, we'll have to work over aesthetics to obtain a nice map.

By the way, I am Nai, a Licensed Civil Engineer who is currently working as GIS Specialist. I have a great exposure to spatial data management and analysis including the manipulation of vector (shapefiles) and raster (satellite imageries) data. I have experienced extraction of different features such as roads, waterbodies, bridges, trees and buildings by utilizing the 1-m Light Detection and Ranging Digital Elevation Model (LiDAR DEM), ortho images or Google earth using the ArcGIS Software.
