We would like to create a system to share software and audio/video files in P2P networks as fast and to as many people as possible. It could use both BitTorrent and/or eDonkey networks. We tried this before using eMule and by cheating eDonkey servers with the number of peers on a shared file. For example, we had only one copy of file on our server but tried to cheat the server that a few hundreds of users had it. The end user would then see our file in the top of eMule search results (as search results are placed in list by availability). But we couldn't get it to work as we ended up needing one IP for each peer which was too difficult to arrange due to the limited availability of IPv4. An alternative that might work is using proxy servers (which we haven’t explored much) or if IPv6 can be used those IPs are easier to arrange. Probably the winning coder will be able to finish this or have some other ideas. The software and audio/video content will be located on Linux or Windows server (preferably Linux). We can setup a test environment to the winning coder. The basic features include: - High scalability, so that we easily can expand this to an unlimited amount of servers - High performance, we need to maximize the amount of possible peers per server and the speed our files will be downloaded in - Tracking, stats over the number of downloads of our files - Control panel, a single website should be able to control all connected servers/??peers?? and manage the file distribution All the details are in the attachment We can consider a case of making such system for a single network (BitTorrent, eDonkey or Gnutella).
## Deliverables

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
