Dear Sir/Madam:
I am interested to bid your posted project here at the site. However, I want to give you a bit of my background in terms of my education and professional skills and talents.
I have arrived from London, England, to the Philippines in 2008, after five years of living and working there. Being back in the Philippines, I would like to apply the skills I have gained from my employment and training in England (and, of course, the excellent years of my international work history as well). I do enjoy working from home, and such being the case, I have seen your advertisement, and very keen to be part of your company.
My expertise are in the areas of writing - corporate communications, public relations/press releases, copywriting, creative writing, commentaries, essays, blogs, e-books, web content, English TESOL curriculum writing; marketing (traditional and online) strategies and research; advertising – conceptualisation to production of TV/radio/print/AVP, branding and image marketing; sales and customer service; and, advocacy, NGO/Charity.
I work part time in Odesk when I see a campaign that suits my qualifications (and I know I would enjoy doing as well) and at the same time I can use my skills on those areas mentioned above. I work freelance, and sometime affiliated with JFJ Ltd as well when necessary. Currently, I just finished writing the Adult English Literacy Programme modules (used by trainers for teaching beginners, intermediate and advanced English for employability skills) for the Singapore government.
I am now ready to accept projects on a freelance, or consultancy, depending on the project itself, or offer made to me.
In essence, I would consider will be my fluency in writing, speaking and comprehension of the English language (American and British), with more than 20 years of exposure to customer service whether directly or via telephone, my skills in managing, supervising and training staff, as well as my knowledge communications – media, advertising and PR; business management and business development; sales and accounts management; and marketing as my skills honed over years of handling various clients in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, USA and the UK.
In addition to this, one of my strongest assets is my ability to deal with clients and peoples from various cultures and nationalities – whether for business or personal, and being able to adapt myself quite easily too in a required environment. In addition, I am hardworking, committed to projects and will meet required deadlines, organised and detailed-oriented, helpful to make suggestions and recommendations when needed for the improvement of work/company, highly-principled, and have work integrity.
Let me give you some background of years of professional work:
Ø
Prior to that, I worked as a COPYWRITER and SENIOR BROADCAST PRODUCER for Saatchi and Saatchi, Basic/Foote, Cone – top advertising agencies in the Philippines. I have conceptualised, written, edited and produced numerous broadcast communications materials such TV and radio commercials and corporate audio-visual presentations; and, printed materials as corporate brochures, flyers, newspapers adverts, POPs, newsletters, and the like; interact and personally handled for multi-national clients such as Colgate-Palmolive, Mitsubishi, Procter & Gamble, Del Monte, RFC, Mead-Johnson, Unilab, ING Life, Generali Filipinas, to name a few.
I have some samples of my written and produced TV/Radio commercials (after typhoon Ondoy in Philippines many were damaged) as all orginal copies were in compiled at the advertising agencies. I had done one campaign for FX Karma website in November 2009 for web content and web design for a London-based client through the Odesk.
I have recently developed two websites that you may view just to have an idea that I can write both formal and informal essays and commentaries.

I have attached a sample of an article published in a major newspaper in the Philippines fro you to see my writing style
In a recent project that run for two weeks, I acted as the marketing “guru” so to speak, and advised and recommended marketing and business strategies for the client in relation to his website content and design, including providing overall marketing, SWOT, and six-month business forecast. Also see my CV attached on my profile here at the site.
