Hello,
I need an android java programmer to work with creating an application that will be similar to what freelancer (this website) is.
The main purpose of the application is to post jobs, look for jobs, maintain your profile, and communicate with employers / employees.
The programmer will work with me (i'm doing the API) together to make the application work. The API as of yet is not finished, but there's enough to start on the application and I have wireframes as well to get the android programmer going.
In the first run, we will concentrate on making the application functional, so styling / branding is not important, functionality and stability of an app is important.
The API is REST API (via http), so that's the basis. Programmer should have experience with REST APIs and asynchronous functions on the android platform. So technical requirements are:
1. Java android app, final product will be in APK file, and will be on the google play store
2. Must use ASYNC calls, and must have all network code customizable so we can define timing of async rest calls on each page (to emulate polling, so user don't have to refresh by himself)
3. Must have clear understanding of REST api and sessionless authentication (JWT)
4. Must have decent experience with general java android programming... I'm not in a position to train new people
As for the hiring process... PLEASE READ THIS:
1. I will reject all automated messages ... put "I READ THIS" on the first line in your bid, so I know you actually read what I said.
2. All communication will be exclusively via freelancer until trust is established, and all payment AFTER the milestones are reached.
3. Do not bid one amount, and then ask for more money in the messages directly... I will discontinue communication immediately
4. English is a requirement... does not have to be perfect, but you have to have clear understanding of it.
