Hello, I am looking for an architect / designer, to help me design a theatre stage that I am looking to build inside a church. The church is located in Edinburgh, in Craigentinny Road (postcode. EH7 6QJ) The structure would be essentially made of timber with hand rails around and a stair case leading up to the center stage. When working in the commercial construction business for multi residential, calculating floor prep requirements and costings for timber flooring based on the surveyors report and the requirements for the individual apartment was very difficult. It was also affected by the requirements for the window sills, adjoining tiled and carpeted areas and, balcony and common hall, and even survey results for apartments close by when the initial slab pour was significantly out of spec. I'm looking for the design of a repair detail for a timber truss roof. The internal cord has been cut out and now needs to be re-instated. The axial loads for the member are -4.5kn The member cut is shown on the pdf attached. I suggest a bolted connection using M10 8.8 bolts through C16 timbers to each side of the left over section of the cord. Alternatively a splice connection detail could be specified. The installer would prefer not to have a gusset connection at the gang nail places due to the health and safety implication of removing the left over cord from the joint while working above it. We would like to design a cover for an aquarium chiller that connects to our ice bath (Chiller Unit Dimensions: L475mm x W360mm x H490mm). We would like the cover to be able to be CNC cut from a singe sheet or a couple sheets of timber (20mm x 1200mm x 2400mm). We like the design attached but need less spacing so you can't see clearly see into the chiller box. It will also need to open to adjust the temperate and place the chiller inside, half of the box opens on hinges perhaps?
