I'm a starving artist my partner=professional student. We have worked on and succesfully released video games (can't name publisher or title thanks to TOS) we've been featured on web sites like TuCows, GameSpy, [login to view URL], and on a rock band CD's (we did a game for them).
I teach web design at a local college and am the support for their brand new digital media lab. I went to art school for seven years on multiple scholarships and went into technology heavily, I'm finishing out my degree currently in multi-media and plan to start on my Masters degree next year.
We're all creativity and not a damn bit of sense on how to market our skills. By this time with all the college and projects one would think we would be at least able to buy a house or do something civilized. But no, "wow, we have a pay check lets buy a Macintosh G5". *sigh*
We've worked on projects for a remarkable varied audience. Our favorite projects are modern and edgy and full of multi-media. Some projects have been wildly succesful--but ops' we didn't actually charge anything for them. Always invited to art shows since when do we ever earn enough to cover the cost of getting the show up? *sigh--again*
My partner is a stone sculptor and monument designer (he's designed a few famous ones, but I guess that's a little morbid..) he also scripts video games. He's won national awards for his art work, he has an uncanny memory and can draw life like representations from memory. Watching him work is a bit like a magic trick.
I'm all about color/sound/contrast I pull projects together and make sure they hit hard. I usually take point as project lead and make sure everything comes together and perfectly on time.
We're good at working with clients and bringing their vision to life on the web, CD, or in a presentation. We work daily with people who don't speak the greek of high-tech and we're patient. We can help you realize what you want to do. We really want to work on some high energy, hip, concious kind of projects. Doing gig's for Pest Control Businesses might pay the bills but they make me want to jump off a bridge.
I've been getting into onlline multi media tutorials and anything cutting edge and pushing the envelope we would readily embrace. (And we're cheap--it doesn't get any better! A 2 for one sale!)

(trivia: I spend 10-14 hours a day on a computer 6-7 days a week...I get really annoyed when guys see a young lady and think they'll help me work on a computer *groan*)
My Partner: Worked as a forman for a Monument company for six years where he was also the only person in the state who still hand cut and drew all the designs himself. (Stencils? We don't need any stinking stencils!)
He released a game a couple of years ago via a company in the Netherlands. Our relationship with them fell apart and we'll be publishing part II ourselves.
