My role on the project was: • Estimate testing projects, defect retest and CRs • Draft and maintain low-level project plan based on agreed estimates • Manage milestones via project plan • Understand project requirement and identify gaps to request for KT • Provide training on the existing test process • QC set-up w.r.t test plans, test set, defects and dashboards • Define and agree scope of testing with project managers • Perform review of testing documents (test conditions, test scenarios, test plans, test sets and test data) and ensure all test documentss map onto requirements • Perform defect management and RCA of missed defects • Report progress on a daily and weekly basis • Participate in governance meetings • Act as SME on the solution and testing in general and provide support to team members when required • People management via monthly 1-2-1 • Track progress of project and performance of team members through KPIs and dashboards (QC, excel, etc) • Enforce QA checkpoints/reviews to ensure quality is present • Proactively manage project risks and identify mitigation actions or workarounds • Draft test closure report and lessons learnt document • Provide support to other phases of testing w.r.t defect re-test • Conduct lessons learnt workshop with team members • Manage external dependencies (test env, defects with dev teams, fix deployments, etc.) which might impact the project • Measure effectiveness of testing being done by performing root cause analysis of missed defects • Participate in technical review sessions with design team • Perform static testing on requirement before requirement sign off
