Ø Can speak English fluently. Extra Curricular Activities: The under given project’s were made at our college Shree Swaminarayan College of Computer Science. As a part of studies and for extra knowledge. Ø Laser Visitor Counter :- This was prepared as a part of our college (Shree Swaninarayan College of Computer Science) exhibition in FY BCA. In it we had interfaced the computer with electronics. The software which sense the cross event was made in Visual Basic and was made by our project guide and our college faculty MR. Pratik gohil. The project was successfully implemented during the project exhibition held in our college. And we also won the first price for it. Ø Electronic home appliances control through a computer :- This project also displayed the interface between a computer and electronic circuit. The software which controlled the devices was made in C++ by our project guide and our college faculty MR.Kalpesh gundigra. We had attached three appliances and they had successfully worked and still they are working. We had also put a timer facility with the help of which the appliance will turn on/off after certain period of time as described by the user. Ø Electronic home appliances control through a mobile :- In this a mobile was attached with a computer on permanent basis, and each appliance that was attached with the printer port was given a unique id with the help of which that particular appliance gets selected. Now a user has to send a SMS to the mobile that is attached with the computer. As soon as the message reaches the inbox it will be fetched by the computer program. This fetching of the message is done with the help of hyper terminal and its commands, and then the contents of the message will be separated and will be checked by the software and according to the message appropriate action will be taken. Ø Automatic height measuring system :- This project was also made in second year. This project also had the interface of computer with electronics. In which even mechanical processes can be controlled by computer and up to any extent. On the basis of the time and bits the calculation of the height was made. The result in 95% of cases was accurate but some times it gave a difference of 2 or 3 inches. Ø ROBOCAR :- This was to show people that computer was also able to take its own decisions and can carry out work by it self. In this we had used a toy car operated with a radio remote, one web cam and one printer port. The car’s remote had four operational switches that were forward, backward, left and right. So we gave all the four connections on four different pins of the printer port. There was a web cam attached on the head of the car which was also attached with the computer. The web cam continuously transmitted the pictures to the software made by our sir MR. Pradeep Patel. The software continuously analyzed the pictures and accordingly it transmitted bits to the remote and the car was moved around. Ø POPINS (POST OFFICE PROTOCOL INCREDIBLE NEW SERVICE) We got this project as a part of Microsoft academic project development. The basis functionality of this software was the user feeds in the e-mail IDs that he has and their individual passwords. Then the software will get connected to the internet and bring in all the e-mail from different sites in your PCs. We were 75% successful in completing the project. As there were some bugs still unsolved, the software used to run but was unable to decode the attachment coming with it. The simple text mails were successfully downloaded in the computer. Ø Shares Vista :- This was my TY project that was made in VB.Net. We got this project from Lotus Infosystem (bhavnagar). The MD of lotus infosystem Mr. Milan Mehta was our project guide. This software was made for shares and mutual fund brokers, and also had an added facility of sending SMS from the computer, in it all the entries of the purchase and sales of any shares was made for a particular client and on basis of which different type of reports were generated also you were allowed to do entries of mutual fund. The project was successfully completed. Academic Achievements: Ø Won first price at state level paper presentation competition held at our college. Ø Participated in national level project presentation with two working projects held at C.U. shah college of engineering & technology (Wadhwan).
