## BIO Ladies and Gentlemen, First, I would like to thank You for the interest in reading my resume. I hope that this would be only a beginning of our cooperation. So, let me begin. I was born 1973 in Frankfurt a.M. Germany where my parents have lived. I have lived in Frankfurt for next 6 years. I have attended the kinder garden there. By that time my parents have decided to move back to homeland, Croatia or better said, former Yugoslavia. That was in spring of 1980. In autumn of 1980 I have started attending elementary school in Cepin, a small town near Osijek in Croatia. In my 6th grade I have learned my first steps in fascinating computer world. That was a simple knowledge of computer language basic on Commodore 64. Later, in my 7th and 8th grade I have that knowledge widened by learning assembler for CMOS 6510 processors. In that time I have done some small utilities, demo-like programs and have written a game called "NBA Basketball Manager" which have only few people seen. I have finished my elementary school with excellent note. As I have started to attend my highschool, I have got an Amiga computer. That was a big jump for me. I have marked my school classes just for being home and working with my Amiga. I have learned Motorola 680x0 assembler, and have started to "code" some demos, small utilities, and so on. In 3rd grade of high-school I have bought a modem and with two of my colleagues have made the first BBS (Bulletin Board System) in Osijek called "Systematics BBS". The BBS existed for several years, but as the globe was overwhelmed by the internet, the project was shut down. Beside that, I have learned computer language C on my Amiga, and have sold the Amiga and bought the PC. By that time I have worked with Borland C/C++ writing some small programs like virus scanners, TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) utilities and so on. I have also learned assembler for x86 processors family. I have finished my highschool in 1992 and have became a mathematics technician/programmer. In autumn of 1992 I have started to attend University of Economic Sciences in Osijek. In that time the war in former Yugoslavia have already started and all have changed. My parents have moved back in Germany, to Aachen. I have decided to stay further in Croatia and have tried to live my life as a normal student. But, there have been too many reasons for me to give up my study. As first, I had no money to support myself. So, I had to get a job. As I was just a hairy guy with a wicked sense of humour, that was tough. I have succeeded at last, and have got a place in a state operated company which had a computer department. In that time I had no knowledge of databases, teamwork or project management. In those six months which I have worked there I have learned all of that. After a year, I have decided to quit because I was dissatisfied with my wage. I have made two projects, both in Clipper for DOS and both were made for individual one user environment, containing parts for a user input, a simple database (the XBase) management part and print/view part. I have projected that database, including indexes and relations between. In 1993 I have started to work in a small company located also in Osijek, Croatia. At first time, I have maintained their later applications, which all have been written in Clipper for DOS. In 1994. I have persuaded my boss that the future is in GUI and Windows environment. We have bought the right tools (Microsoft Visual C/C++, Inprise Delphi and Microsoft SQL Server). One by one, we have our users persuaded the same and have started the project of changing the whole application software in a new environment. I have took the part in projecting new database in SQL, reprogramming user interface, or better said, writing it all over again and projecting LAN (Local Area Network) at administrator and user level. I have also took part in deciding of what network parts should be bought (switches, hubs). In spring of 1995 we have finished our first complete project including Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0, Microsoft SQL Server 6.0 bounded at server computer, LAN connecting 30 user stations running Microsoft Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and, of course, our application software written mostly in Dephi. A company where all of that took place was a supermarket which sells their merchandises at gross level. Beside that project, I have also done some small applications in Windows 95 environment bounded to a Novell Netware 4.0 Server running Oracle. All of those applications have been written in Microsoft Visual C/C++, using MFC classes and ODBC connections to Oracle database. I have projected the database using later Clipper metabases and converting them into relational database structure. All of those applications have been written for some small sized shops, with maximal 4 computers bundled into LAN. I have also made a modem connection at application level, exchanging database updates for one of our users. Later, I have that piece of application rewritten using Norton pcAnywhere software packet. As we had no real internet connection, only dial-up, I have done just a few simple applications using Inprise Java C++ builder, as an experiment. In spring of 1999 during economic crisis in Croatia, political injustice and bad human relations, our company had to pronounce a bankrupt. I had to quit and since that time I have lived in Germany. In the first time, as I had no knowledge of german language, I had to do whatever was given me. In autumn of 1999, I have finally bought a computer and started to learn those things which I have missed in the time of not working. I have finally learned german at some level, and have taken few jobs based on honorary wage. Since then, as I have learned german even better, I took a great interest in so called freelance area, doing some complete projects or parts of projects for german market. In the projects included, I have mostly done some background programming, bug corrections, in C/C++ language, and mostly SQL server oriented. I have also completed more then a few installations of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems, and took part in some of the network configuration/installation. In the winter of 2005, I have moved back to Croatia, and since that time I live and work here. My fascination with freelance area has been going on for years, and as you can witness, the results of my work are obvious. I like the diversity and creativity I get out of the projects I work with. Also, I like the social aspect of working with many different people around the globe. That pretty much explans the reasons I have been freelancer for so long. I have a dayly employment which takes roughly 20 hours a week. I work as a network administrator and system engineer in a small enteprise located in Osijek, Croatia. I would like to thank You for reading my resume and I hope that it will meet Your expectation.
