§ Investigation on deadlock problem in mainframe batch system (COBOL, PL1, IMS, DB2, JCL);
§ Migration of MS Access databases into SQL Server with MS Access interface and merging 8 separate local unit offices into one database with remote connection. All data from 8 offices were migrated into one SQL server. Each query had to be rewritten manually. Panels, reports and VB code changes. Cooperation in delivery process to main offices. Maintenance on system until user problems were fully resolved. System documentation.
§ Design, corrections of SQL Server stored procedures and output reports in online reporting system written in Crystal Reports; Close cooperation with American annalists in field of system logic and customer needs. Administration on daily replication jobs (COM processing). Slight changes and maintenance on 5 MS Access front-ends with database on SQL-server, DB2 and Oracle. § Participation in huge Allstate project of financial data migration from IMS, DB2 databases and VSAMS into flat files (50 mln of records), all IMS data are being move right now, constant processing will take next 1,5 year until the largest hierarchical database over the world (until year 2005) will be fully migrated.
§ After one and half month training in Chicago I joined newly created team as a developer resolving problems in large batch processing system ‘Propagator’. System renews policies and processes many different batch and online Allstate policy operations.
