MWR, Marketing Department, Salinas, CA
September 2007 to Present – Responsibilities include those of a Graphic Designer. Concept creation and/or creation alone on projects such as flyers, banners, brochures, booklets, letterhead, business cards, newsletters, graphic illustrations and more. Handling customer requests from start to finish. Printing and pre-pres knowledge and experience. Keeping tight deadlines and short notice projects. Handling planning, schedule and time management. Other responsibilities as required.
The Arts & Crafts Studio, Schweinfurt, Germany
September 2005 to September 2007 - Responsibilities include teaching many art disciplines including painting, drawing, mold ceramics, pottery and sewing. Making sure inventory and other daily paperwork is complete along with brainstorming and proposing ideas for advertisement are part of the daily routine. Dealing with customers on a daily basis through sales, as students, and answering art related questions is part of my responsibility. I am also commissioned for special projects such as decorative planning, event managing and schedule preparation.
ANA Sports, Grand Rapids, MI
August 2002 to December 2003 - Responsibilities include teaching the recreational gymnastics discipline to children ages 3-12. Producing class curriculum, recruitment, parent and child relationship and communication, follow up on progress of the child, safety and security discipline, and most importantly making sure the kids learned and had fun at the same time.
Wightman and Associates, Benton Harbor, MI
Contract Position 2003 - Responsibilities were those of a Graphic Artist. Fixing and improving graphic layouts and designs for newsletters, photo alterations, logo sharpening, communications through the internet and over the telephone with the employer to complete tasks in a timely and convenient manner for client and employee.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of both PC and Macintosh computer platforms.
- Proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Reader, and Microsoft Office, Publisher, CorelDrawX3, QuarkXPress and more.
- Basic knowledge of the Dreamweaver Web Design Package and the LightWave 3D Modeling Package.
- Holds basic and some advanced photography skills in both SLR and Digital Format cameras.
- Teaching and coaching experience provide leadership skills. Summerhire program in Schweinfurt left me in charge of other workers.
