I'm looking for a small Task application with mysql support and web interface.
The purpose is logging of tasks, my team is doing.
During his work, he is doing some tasks, which we might have to report to our customer, and other tasks, which remain internal and won't go to the customer
Tasks are structured by project
Main View:
List of projects,
-- button, to add a task to this project
-- button to open the Project View
Project View:
-- Button to add task
-- Button to edit task
-- Blog Style view of all tasks, descending by startdate
---- who did this (Username by ID... see usermanagement)
---- what did he do (the content of the task)
---- values of the radios and checks of the task
The List must be searchable by a list of keywords 'and' connected, within the content within this project
Add Task View:
Separate javascript dialog within the browser window. In both cases one should be able to have several of these objects open.
Form within each of these objects
-- StartDate field, preset with the current date. Format must be configurable globally
-- multi purpose field to enter text, embed pictures, use a table or enter a block of source code ... Field must be unlimited in size... like I would put this stuff into a word document
-- EndDate field, entered or set at close time, preferably constantly showing the current time and the number of minutes since working on this task
-- radio buttons 'internal only', 'show customer'
-- checkbox 'customer is informed'
-- button: Abort
-- button: Save --> saves this copy of the task, including a save date and a version number
Edit Task:
will open the window/object, as described in 'Add Task View', fills in all fields with the content of the task.
User is free to edit anything
Saving creates a new version of the complete task, having the actual save date, keeping the prior versions unmodified in the database.
From now on, in Blog Style view of all tasks, the most recent version of a task is shown: Along with this task, an marker is shown, that this is a new version, giving access to the old ones.
One could only edit the last version of a task.
PDF export
One could mark one or more tasks from a task list, as long they are allowed to reach the customer (see radio controls of the task).
All marked tasks will be printed in chronological order into the pdf
We will give a PDF form, in which the content will have to be filled in
We need a small user login page
One can only access data, if logged in
Any tasks will contain the User's ID in the database
User can only see projects, which have his ID in a permission table of style "projectID --> UserID1,UserID2,UserID3"
We'll provide logo, color scheme and font for the views. These should go in a central directory on the server's disk, so we could change this, as time goes by.
Creating Users incl. Password, inserting Projects, configuring the system, will be done by an Database admin. We'll need no views or lists for this, as staff and the projects are pretty stable..
