I am creating a client/server trading application. What I need in this project is a React front-end that talks over websockets to the server. The server does all of the trading, so this project does not include the actual trading, just the UI.
The React UI is where the user interacts with the market, entering trades, watching price movement, managing positions, etc. Low-latency performance is very important. Quotes will be streaming in in real-time for dozens of stocks, and the screen will need to update instantly.
The user will enter trade parameters that need to get to the server instantly via websockets. I do NOT need sophisticated charting, but I would like to display a small, simple candlestick chart, but no need for drawing tools or anything else beyond a basic chart.
I am including a client spec. It is not complete, but it should give you some idea of the scope of the project. Would you implement with Redux or would Context API and Hooks work?
