Word processing

Hi there,

I have about 15 small books that need to be converted to digital format and re-published. They were published many years ago, so the digital printing files don't exist, or are lost. My client owns the rights to copy and publish the book.

I am a designer, and will design the layout, pages, take care of the page numbers, images, formating, cover page, etc.. But I need someone to convert the text to a digital format. I live in Capital Federal, Argentina.

The finished work will need to be delivered in a text document format (MS word, OpenOffice text, or RTF, etc.) by email. If it is formatted, it must be done using styles. Images and page numbers are not necessary.

I don't have the physical books yet, they are coming from the UK. I also don't know how many words or pages are in each book. It is estimated that there are 20 to 80 pages in each. The books are all in Englsih.

The job can be done using OCR scanning technology and a scanner, or each word can be typed. But it's important that the result is accurate to the original. That's why English is necessary.

Please provide a quote (or an estimate if a quote is not possible) for the job on a per-word, or per-page basis.
