The timthumb script resizes images, it also caches the resized image in a 'cache' folder, and limits the cache folder to a certain size.

what i'd like to do is fork timthumb and create a script that will create thumbnails of PDF documents using Image Magick.

here's a sample script (that i can't get to work- probably b/c i am getting stuck with the cache folder setup)

like the one at stormwarestudios this script must:

accept a URL to the PDF

accept a size parameter

and then like timthumb the script must

cache the resulting image in a folder relative to the [login to view URL] script (eventually i will be using this with WordPress so won't always know where someone's server root is)

limit the cache folder size

the stormwarestudios script, might well work, but I at the very least, need some help getting it set up.
