This project initially consists of adding a Fan Map based on phone numbers (area code and number) to an existing hosted social networking site. The site was designed by a third party and provides access to the PHP code and web services APIs. The phone number mapping will need to be developed based on an area code database/api in order to identify the city and appropriately show it on the map. When the user clicks on the city, the page should show the list of members in that city. Users should be be able to create an account from the site either as they will be added through an API using the phone number. The phone number is the login information. Eventually, I would like to have the whole site built from scratch to provide more flexibility. More information can be made available.
