**“Design Your Sign?? Paint type Flash or Java Web Application**
**Overview**
Our company is a leading manufacturer of signage products. In order to better serve our customers we wish to develop a Java or Flash based design tool that will allow our customers to experiment and visualize their own custom sign. The application is intended as a visualization tool and the output of the tool is not designed for sign production.
**Functionality Overview**
The company manufactures four distinct sign styles. Each style has its own unique dimensions.
The first step in the application would allow the user to select a particular sign style “wireframe?? shape to be used as the “canvas??.
The application should provide the following functionality:
1.? Add text and color elements to the canvas.
2.? Move or otherwise specify the position of text elements on the canvas.
3.? Vary the size of the text.
4.? Provide the following common “paint?? tools:
- Eraser
- Draw Rectangle (filled or unfilled)
- Ellipse (filled or unfilled)
- Polygon (filled or unfilled)
- Line
- Pencil
- Flood Fill
5.? The application should also have the ability to save the sign in a web compatible format such as JPEG,? PDF, PNG, etc.
6.? The application should also have the ability to print the final output.
The following items are not a mandatory requirement of the application, however support for any or all of these items should be mentioned in your bid.
- Rotating and curving text elements on the canvas.
- Scaling text elements on the screen.
- Support for multiple fonts.
- Providing the facility to upload vector or raster graphics and scale them to fit the dimensions of the canvas.

## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
