Product Options Pop Up CS Cart ADD ON

I have a custom template to CS Cart. I also have products that have required options (File formats). For the products that have options, on the product grid pages (When you see a bunch of products at one time), then you click on the ADD TO CART button, I want a POP UP to present itself to the user that forces them to select a format before adding it to their cart. So, on the product grid pages, the user would see the item, a description, price, and an ADD TO CART button..they click on ADD TO CART, get a popup that asks them to select a format. They MUST select a format to add to cart. Users can cancel out of the screen as well.

I need this done as a CS CART add on module for portability, not a straight modification to the CORE package. There is currently a couple add on modules that are installed and this module cannot interfere with the others.
