Qualified South African Financial Advisor required FSP

Competency requirements which refers to his experience for forex business on both category 1 (forex advisor) and category 2 (forex intermediary), and for other financial instruments on category 1 and category 2, this experience must be traceable in that the person must have been registered with a regulator who authorised him to trade on behalf of clients or to give forex advice and managed funds or investments on behalf of clients or given them advice on the financial instruments applied for, they should have passed a recognised qualification as per the list at the FSCA (MBA , B Com,CFA , the list is long, these are examples), they must have passed Regulatory examinations, which are RE 1, RE 3 and RE 5, must have met the CPD requirements and class of business and product specific training for the products they seek approval on.

The applicant will need a reference letter from the forex advisor and/or the forex intermediary where he worked or was appointed as key individual and a representative and also a reference letter to confirm the experience for other financial instruments on category 1 and category 2 FSP licence.
