I've gone through your description and I loved the way you have explained every detail, I came up with this design in order to keep it simple and eye-catchy. It's simply a Serif Font as requested with an icon which I illustrated the letter 'P' in a unique way. I hope you like it.

Thanks for the submission, and for reading the brief fully. I don't think the soft/round letter P works at all with the font. It's not the elegant/luxury feel of the inspiration logos I provided, but I'd be interested to see if you can come up with anything else?
