  OK Juan. I think we understand one another.
  If you agree to re-do the exterior design as part of the award money we have a deal. I think you have the skills to deliver to our expectations. You will provide the CAD files, material list and fasteners for the exterior (housing). For the interior we will work on an hourly basis and it will be highly interactive (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams) and include one of our engineers a specialist in mechatronics. We will expect that somewhere between 50 to 100 hours at your currently published rate ($15/hour) will suffice to design the interior, and if not you will hand the CAD files and we will complete it ourselves.   Hi, thanks for the comments. I am ok with signing a NDA and working the way you suggested, in fact that is what i need to make something way better since one of the challenging part of this contest was to design with a lack of information in such a complex product. I agree it looks like a kind of microwave but i can be completely changed if you show me your design expectations.

  By the way, I am putting you as a finalist because of the skills shown, not the design you created. All designs we received have one flaw: to different extent they resemble a microwave. Your design does show a departure but is not sufficient. The design we have in mind will be quite different. The closest idea to our design contains two sections, a top section that will drop on the bottom section with servo motors.   One question. If we were to work on this together I would need to get a confidential disclosure agreement signed by you. Would this be a problem? If this is OK, we will pre-negotiate a fixed number of hours at your published rate to integrate the internal components which we have already designed. At present there is only one moving stage inside but we will also need to add a stacking mechanism (vertical) for our samples, add actuators to the sample holder, etc. So, there is more to do than the outside casing of the instrument. We estimate 50-100 hours to finalize the interior and produce the CAD files that we need to turn to the manufacturing company, including bill of materials and all necessary fasteners. We will provide CAD files for the components we have designed and references to other parts (power source, pump, fan). We will rely on you for suggestions on servomotors. Let me know what you think.   If you feel the need to integrate the outline of the iPad with the rest of the instrument you can decide to build the fram around it. I have seen your industrial designs and you have a good skill to integrate function with form.
