We need a new, fresh logo for the Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation (PATF), a non-profit organization that provides low-interest loans to people with disabilities and older adults so that they can buy the assistive technology devices and services they need to live independent lives. Our tagline is: "Independence is Priceless, We Help Make it Affordable."

Assistive technology is any device that helps a person with a disability achieve a more independent and productive life. Devices may include such items as: adapted vehicles, iPads, accessible home modifications (including ramps, roll-in showers, lowered counter tops, and stairglides), computers with special software and/or hardware, hearing aids, flashing doorbells, scooters and wheelchairs, seat lift chairs.

The file titled "PATFlogo1" is our first logo. The thick line beneath PATF was meant to be a ramp, showing a type of assistive tech we might provide. No one read it that way, though. We updated last year to "PATFlogo2" but very much dislike the "heads"--in general this logo is too busy, although it does provide examples of the range of disabilities we can help. Currently we're using "PATFlogo3" and "PATFlogo4". We like these colors and the look, but would like something with more than just the words.

We're looking for something clean and simple that ideally somehow gets across what we're all about--providing people of all ages, and disabilities with the ability to live their lives fully, in their homes, at work, and in the community. Key words are independence, empowering, community.

We just want to be really careful not to go too far into the "begging hands" look. Helping hands works though. We also want to keep the blue and green we already have.
