We are looking for a designer to work with on various projects in the future. As a way to judge creativity and style, we would like a chart designed of the lunar surface. The poster would be of a full moon with the landing spots of all of the missions (Apollo and unmanned) highlighted, along with dates. In the margins of the poster, you may include additional information. For example the phases of the moon, craft that were instrumental in the missions such as lunar lander, Saturn V, etc.
Cool objects that are still on the moon should be pointed out as well. Examples of these are the American Flags, rovers, Charles Duke's family photo, cameras, telescope, 2 golf balls hit by Alan Shepard, the fallen astronaut plaque, and any other cool artifacts you want to include. Each object highlighted should have some info with it such as the dates of the objects, what mission, who left it, and for things such as the photo or the flags point out that they are more than likely bleached white by now due to radiation. Other information in the margins may be temperature in and out of sunlight on the moon, distances of the moon (nearest and furthest), etc. You may use all or some of these ideas. Make it look professional and approachable. You can either include all human exploration of the surface or just American. Also, non-landing missions can be included around the moon such as Apollo 8, 9, and 10. Names of large craters can be included as well. The poster should be a portrait layout and should be fairly large. There is no exact measurement required, but should be somewhere around the traditional 24x36 inches of movie posters.
