I am creating a website called 1updeals.com - so the "1up" is a video game reference and I want the logo to incorporate a "1up mushroom" (google search it if you are not familiar with what I am talking about).

I want something that can easily be scaled, so a small "1up mushroom" design that could be shown with or without the text for "1UP Deals". I am not sure what the best design will look like in terms of capital or lowercase on the words "1UP Deals", so feel free to display it in a way that you think looks good and if I like your main design then we can always tweak the text.

I do not want an "old school" blocky-style (8-bit) mushroom... I am expecting it to be relatively simple and of course it must be original artwork and cannot be an image taken from Super Mario Bros (where the green "1up mushroom" was originally used). At the same time it should be instantly recognizable to gamers, so it doesn't have to be hugely different, but it does need to be original.

I am thinking something like a circle shape with the green mushroom inside... perhaps you could draw some inspiration from the old spotify.com logo (again, google "spotify logo" if you aren't sure what I mean). I want a simple design, nothing complicated, but it also should look professional. I mention Spotify's logo because it is a VERY simple design, but it is nice and professional looking. If you can create something that crosses the "green 1up mushroom" with that Spotify logo, that is probably a winning design.
