Mutant RX-8 Demo Car Graphics
Client: Armour Automotive Project: Mutant RX-8 2007 Vinyl Graphics Package Brief: To design a vinyl graphics package for the launch of the Mutant RX-8 demonstration vehicle. Execution: The theme of the entire demo car build was to mimic a Japanese drift car. The success of this theme was heavily dependant on the graphics matching the style seen on competition cars. To follow this theme, as many sponsor logo's as possible were applied to the car in favoured positions, and Japanese characters signifying the words 'Mutant' and 'Bass' were added. Then everything was 'Drift Reversed' on the passenger side of the car. To ensure prominence of the Mutant logo amongst the busy background - the logo was created using the special reflective vinyl used on emergency vehicles. This would make the logo appear to glow when photographed in direct light.
