The New Typography
Two posters for a typographic exhibition. Left - The background graphics are the positive and negative spaces of a cropped version of the letter R set in the Bembo typeface. The colors are what make up the negative shapes. Right - The bottom graphics are the positive and negative spaces of a cropped version of the letter W set in the Bodoni typeface. For the Typographic body my design was based off of a 17th century typographic layout. I choose this layout because it created a contrast between an old fashioned layout and a contemporary typeface.
About Me
I am a designer from New Orleans. I hold a BFA in graphic design with a concentration in environmental design from the Maryland Institute College of Art. In the long run I would like to be able to assist with projects that challenge me to use all of my visual tools: object design, spatial design, typography, illustration, and branding. My complete portfolio and resume are available at solwiner.com.
