Sergio Miranda is a Patagonian Photographer who lived and worked for the last ten years in Buenos Aires. He studied arts in high school, and at the age of 17 he traveled to Buenos Aires to study Cinema and Photography. He studied for almoust 8 years, and in between he worked as an assistant with several advertising and fashion photographers. He was Marcos López (marcoslopez dot com) assistant for almoust two years, for whom he did from gallery and contest paperworks, to photo assistant jobs in advertising shootings and digital retouch for his photos. And he also worked with him hand-painting his large lambda prints with watercolours. After that, he worked assisting fashion photographers in studio and location productions. And also become and speciallist in digital large format cameras and digital retouch, doing digital post-production for Nike, C&A and Carrefour campaigns. He worked for about a year and a half in Juan Mathé´s studio, doing fashion and editorial works. And then he became Urko Suaya´s first assistant (urkosuaya dot com) and stayed there again for two years, working a lot with models from all over the world, and travelling around Argentina, Uruguay and Brasil. He studied "Iluminación y Camara" (Lighting and Camera) in the Universidad del Cine. As a camera men he worked with a german production team, comanded by Henrik Jessen (henrikjessen dot de), travelling to Uruguay, and then to Brasil, to shot both a short-film and a documentary. Staying in SaoPaulo (Brazil) he also worked as an assistant for two fashion photographers: Roberto Wagner and Jacques Dequeker (jacquesdequeker dot com). Stayed in SaoPaulo for a month and when he got back to Argentina, he started working in Ale Burset´s Studio, doing camera works, travelling to Manchester, England, to shoot a commercial for Nike with Carlos Tevez with the agency MadreBuenosAires. And he did some other works for brands like Rexona, Ford EcoSport, FisherPrice and Axe. He also worked with Ale Burset as a photo-assistant till nowadays. Today, at his early 28 years old, Sergio went back to Patagonia Argentina to work for a local magazine called "NochePolar" (nochepolar dot com dot ar) doing covers and his own fashion issue. He is planning to start his own fashion and arts magazine, and preparing several fashion shows with a mix of non-professional local models, and some proffesional models from Buenos Aires. He has develop a hug experience in workin with non professional models, working for several model agencies doing tests and books (from Buenos Aires, Civiles, Rebel, Hype, EPBookers, LucaCasting; and from SaoPaulo, Way and Elite). And he is starting to prepare his own model agency in Comodoro Rivadavia, the Patagonian city where he was born.
