This show reel is composed of a collection of shots from several films that I've been a part of as the cinematographer. It showcases the level of filmmaking I work at along with lighting and camera styles I've employed in experience. This reel is more focused on the narrative filmmaking I've done.
About Me
Hi I'm Ryan! I was born and raised in the metro-Detroit area of Michigan and moved to the city in 2015. Now I'm a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and a freelance Director of Photography based in Chicago, IL. Most of my background has been in shooting narrative short films, however, I also enjoy shooting music videos, commercials, event recaps, corporate videos (including internal interviews, promotions, events, etc), and many other forms of video. I love being able to work with real people to make a product come to life. The creative process before and during production are critical collaborative moments that I take pride in involving myself. However, I'm also very good on my feet. I've had extensive experience in getting thrown into last minute situations and although it can be challenging, I know how to work through any situation.
