Brief: For this particular project, your task is to render an architectural illustration. This year the Fifties Fair will be held on the grounds of the Rose Seidler’s house in Wahroonga. You have been provided with a set of images of this house that was designed by her architect son, Harry Seidler. You must draw the illustration from one of these reference images. Choose a style that works with your own skills or create a new one.
To create something extraordinary from something considered ordinary, to visualise and conceptualise an image that can express more than words, this describes my passion for graphic design. To me, graphic design is more than just a specialised area of computer application. With the ever expanding world of computer technology, only those with a serious interest in computer advancement will succeed in a changing environment. My personal viewpoint is not to limit my self with the run of the mill expectations of software but to explore how I can use it to its full extent. To use computer software to its full extent, takes extensive training. This is were my ongoing education becomes relevant and I have chosen to continuously expand my knowledge with a Diploma course through the Commercial Arts Training College and a Bachelor of Arts in Internet Studies through Open Universities and Curtin University. Being highly computer literate and designing websites for over twelve years, has given me the opportunity to incorporated logo designs, letterhead design, flyer design and flash design, not only for websites but for client requests for print development.
