Project Management
When I was a project Manager at a startup company, my tool of choice was Microsoft Project. I came to a realization that the Microsoft product, while a great tool, was too bulky for what was required to manage and report on the type of project being implemented. What was created was an Excel based Project management tool with all the requisite features for managing a project. The resultant tool was agile, and it was used for both Sales estimating and for Project management. The tool also delivered Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting for executive level reviews and for project control. Many other reports were available and too numerous to mention here.
About Me
My career has spanned multiple disciplines, originating in a desire to establish myself in a creative career. I am both a classically trained trumpet player, and an accomplished photographer. Early on, my path switched to Information Technology (IT) out of financial necessity. I have accepted more and more responsibility throughout my career, with my most recent assignment as a Project Manager. Throughout my career, I have worked with the Microsoft suite, and have found actual enjoyment, a passion and a genuine skill for creating Excel based solutions. My creative side allows for pleasing front ends, and my IT background delivers solid backends to meet the needs of the project.
