Phase Change Materials in a Domestic Solar Hot Water Storage Tank of the Lebanese Market

IEEE

When the PCM melts, it absorbs large amount of energy. During liquid to solid phase change, it releases energy used to heat water within the storage tank and keep it warm along a couple of hours. Due to the issue of electrical power availability in Lebanon, the PCM integrated in The DSHWST has the advantage of reducing the primary electricity power by about 6.5 MWh yearly and get rid of about 5.5 tons of CO2.
