ACADEMIC PROJECT Title: EMBEDDED LAN SERVER FOR DATA LOGGING AND DEVICE CONTROL Team Size: 4 Members Description: This project aims at using microcontroller for online data logging and device control over a LAN. In processing industries and nuclear plants various conditions are to be monitored and appropriate action is needed based on that. Here a data acquisition board acquires all data pertaining to a working environment and logs it into server’s database which is then made available to client machines over the network for monitoring and control purposes. Microsoft Visual Basic is used as front end user interface. Title: GRAPHICS EDITOR Team Size: 4 Members Description: This project involves cursor movement, editing picture objects, transformations on objects/selected area, clipping, load, filling, save, clear etc. The 2-D graphics package developed had a good user interface, which uses almost all graphical input techniques. It is a device independent package which can be implemented in any platform using C/C++ language.
