I specialize in graphic design, prepress, and production art — primarily for print, but also for website and multimedia applications. With many years' experience in the industry, I provide results which are both creative and correct (this is, indeed, possible; no more expensive surprises in pre-press!) ... and delivered quickly. Read on for more details, if you wish: Experience Summary: More than 30 years’ experience devising and implementing effective solutions for clients worldwide, in the following arenas: Graphic design (print and web), digital prepress and production art; offset, digital, large– and grand–format digital, and screen printing; commercial photo studio and laboratory operations. Graphic Design Experience: Have provided production–ready artwork for offset, screen, flexo, large– and grand–format printing, and the web. Clients include companies in the pharmaceutical, entertainment, retail, restaurant, printing, publishing and manufacturing industries, as well as government agencies. Products include identities (logos, etc.) and stationery, branding, annual reports, advertisements, collateral and training materials, banners, signage and more. Production [Software + Hardware] Experience: Software skills include the operation of Photoshop (since 1989, as a beta tester), QuarkXPress (since 1987), Illustrator (since 1987), Preps (since 2000), InDesign (since 2002), Dreamweaver (since 2007), Flash (since 2007), various color management systems (since 1992), and most related applications on Macintosh, Windows and Unix platforms. Familiar with Agfa, Creo, and Harlequin–based RIPs, various imagesetting, CtP and CtS systems. Experienced with PDF and Postscript workflows. Other skills include the operation of high–resolution drum scanners, flatbed scanners, and most color proofing systems. Digital Printing Experience: Equipment owned, operated, and maintained has included VUTEk grand–format (to 192" wide) digital airbrush and piezo inkjet printers; Encad, Epson, HP, Inca, Mimaki, Océ (and similar) large–format (36–96" wide) inkjet and electrostatic printers; Durst Lambda and Océ (CSI) Lightjet laser photo media printers; various other smaller–format color output devices. Training Provided: Developed curricula and taught color theory, digital printing and digital prepress skills to clients around the world. Formerly licensed as an Adobe "Classroom in a Box" trainer for Photoshop and Illustrator; additional curricula were developed using materials from PIA, GATF, etc., as well as from various hardware manufacturers and software authors.
