I began as a designer almost a decade ago when I taught myself how to use Adobe Photoshop. I was fascinated by the total control I had over images using Photoshop's tools. I used this self-taught knowledge to build a small portfolio of my own Photoshop based creations. It was the strength of this portfolio that led to my first, full time, professional design and layout job with a local newspaper publisher where I was responsible for the design and layout of advertisments in over a dozen weekly publications. My time in the creative department there was a great learning experience. I took from that job a greater understanding of design and layout, as well as very advanced knowledge of several design and layout programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Quark XPress and Multi-Ad Creator. I have spent my time since then working various free-lance jobs for friends and friends of friends to further develop my skills and abilities.
