For the Angels Amoung Us
There is something refreshingly appealing in the blank canvas of a new year, the change of the annual numerals and the hope that invariably bubbles within many of us at the thought of yet another chance to ‘get the colours right’. Even through the knowledge that each dawn gifts us thusly, nothing quite expresses it in such a hallmark way as a pristine calendar poised and ready for first lofty entry. But sometimes challenges arise and cloud the brightness of this passage. Whether in the form of past or present losses, new transitions and realizations, accumulating debts, old hurts and haunts or simply fear of the unknown, the dark sometimes can not only eclipse, but obliterate the light, and send one into a murky labyrinthe of all pains contained and repressed in an all-consuming ink.
