I am a very detail-oriented person who loves an opportunity to be creative. I have a lot of experience in writing of all sorts, both technical and non-technical. I enjoy a good challenge and am a very fast learner when it comes to new material. I began writing when I was in high school, and have been interested in reading and writing ever since. I started off writing poetry, and after all of these years, I am finally writing my own novel series. I have worked in the legal field for over eight years where I drafted, edited and proofread many forms of legal documents, including but not limited to: simple letters, demand letters, pleadings, wills, trusts, real estate documents, tax documents, corporate documents and contracts. I have a strong background in the legal field in many areas. I am computer literate in several office programs including: Word Perfect, MS Word, MS Publisher, Quicken, Adobe, Windows, Schedule +, Power Point, Lois Law, Trial Court Desktop, West Law and Lexis. I am a fast learner, and can master any other program that may be necessary for this position. I have also volunteered with a local rescue squad, and have worked in an emergency room in one of the local trauma centers, and was part of the trauma team. I have a wide range of medical knowledge from working in the medical field and from working in a personal injury law firm. I joined Freelancer.com not only to make some extra money, but to also expand and improve on something I truly enjoy doing – reading, writing, editing and research. To say I am passionate about editing would be an understatement. I am almost obsessed with editing. I find myself wanting to correct everything I read. I am blown away by the mistakes that get left in novels that have been published and distributed for sale. I truly enjoy writing and find it very rewarding when I write something that really inspires people.
