Coast Settlement in the Old UAE
The whole project displayed different environments that formed the UAE in the old days. The featured image is the layout of a traditional coast village. The coastal community featured "Jus" houses with an original "Barjeel" for internal air conditioning. Beautiful views of original 'Shasha' boats and an island covered with Mangrove trees complemented the shoreline. The beach featured 'Dahareez' or the storeroom where the community kept the fish and other merchandise to sell within the local market or load it on the "Fartha" at the wharf to sell it along the sea ancient trade route.
About Me
I am amasterplanner with multinational experience and background in urban planning, urban design and landscape design . Started my career in Dubai then London and had the opportunity to work with a wide base of clients from developers, Stakeholders to local councils. My portfolio has a varied range of projects from landscaping a private house garden to putting a landscape concept for multimillion pounds developments. Recently achieved a Masters degree in International Planning and Sustainable Development to complement previous work and experiences. My strong work ethic developed through working within multi-cultural environments.
