I am currently the Product DesignTeam Leader for a leading national company in Greenfield Indiana. My team and I create novelty products and product packaging for the convenience store market. As the leader of Novelty Inc.'s product development team, I have learned the importance of quality management in a creative, developmental environment. I know it takes a communicative manager with a feel for his employees' talents, a knowledge of his market, and a strict adherence to deadlines, company standards, and product disciplines, to attain the desired result. Prior to my current position, I was an art director for three national publications where I led a small staff of creative folks, including freelance artists. I enjoyed the rigorous demands of the job, and the pleasure that came from smoothly organizing, scheduling, and finally, piecing together a great product. Using my own creativity to influence the look of the publications was rewarding, but the greatest reward had always been directing creative people toward, and eventually to, a goal. I am a highly motivated individual with strict personal standards, a strong work ethic, and a passion for learning. I am looking to enhance my present income with freelance.
