Cristiano Ronaldo Footy!
I was invited by the client to create a Ruby on Rails app to be hosted on Heroku.com. The website needed to cope with a great surge of traffic on launch so I implemented page caching where applicable and did several rounds of load testing to ensure that the website was up to the job. The payment system integrated with the Facebook and PayPal API and communicated with the clients game server when a player had purchased the game pack. The artwork was all supplied by the client as Photoshop files which I then sliced and wrote the code to recreate. I localised the website to allow the content to be read in up to 6 languages. The website coped easily with the large amount of traffic on launch, serving up pages with little delay. I was later asked by the client to create the html, css and javascript for their main football game, again with Facebook integration.

A developer with over 15 years experience developing interactive web and desktop applications for both client and server deployment. My experience encompasses building interactive learning projects, content and media management portals, data visualisation dashboards and database driven e-commerce sites. My programming language skills include Ruby, JavaScript/CoffeeScript with strong emphasis on standards based HTML and CSS for web, as they currently cover all significant client development needs.
