Concussion Helmet Project
This project used the electronic prototyping software of Arduino to produce a concept for a concussion monitoring device. It was designed for high impact sports such as American football, where there is currently a huge stigma surrounding the subject. The HeadMate concussion monitor is a product focused on enhancing the safety and game play of American football (NFL). The device combines multiple 3-axis accelerometers; which measure the proper acceleration (g-force), and a gyroscope; which is in place to obtain accurate linear and rotational impact measurement, both of which are in place to measure g-force constantly from a range of 0G to 180G.
