I've started out by learning BASIC on a Commodore-64 home computer - tape games became too boring at a point -, and later Qbasic in third grade. The teacher left after a few months, but I've continued learning and experimenting. My next languages were Turbo Pascal - yes, everyone has to deal with it at some point, and for a few years Visual Basic 5 and 6. I haven't touched any .NET platform. Four years later, in my seventh grade, a new language called PHP popped up, as 'personal homepage page tools' and I decided to give it a try. It was instant love, and PHP is my primary language ever since. In time, I have learnt other web-technologies, starting with javascript, then ajax. Later, XML, CSS, Flash, ASP, and JSP came. I can't say I use them all actively. XHTML is my fav. markup language, but i worked with HTML, DHTML, SHTML too. I can hook up any of a server side script to a database from MySQL, MSSQL and PostgreSQL. I have also studied OpenGL and C++ making a few 3D proggies, the best one beeing a multiplayer maze solver. It also included development with the SDL library.
In the last month, my interest was grabbed by assembler. My platform of choice were PIC integrated circuits, produced by microchip.
