Description : Designed, developed and supported 4 versions of QwikStream Decoder for Symbian OS. Integrated the Qwik Live client for Symbian OS with the video-audio streaming server. Integrated local playback, download-n-play (DLP), progressive video download (PVD) with buffering. Ported the video decoder to Symbian OS. Involved in unit testing, integration testing for players over GPRS, EDGE & CDMA networks. Worked out enhancement in Player Performance through assembly instructions to 12 fps for DLP, PVD and 10 fps for Live Streaming. Ported audio playback of AMR, MP3 & G723 codec formats to Symbian OS. Performed assembly level programming for Wavelet transform, with 40% faster execution for larger image sizes. Removed Lifting scheme and introduced a simple quantizing technique through mallat-like decomposition instead of in-place transform. Automatic Vehicle Locating System Duration : 1 year Client : Sindhara Inc, Role : Software Engineer Hardware : Rabbit RCM 3610 and RCM 3710, SPI flash, RS232, Siemens XT55 v1.05 and 2.06 (TCP/IP stack), LED’s. Software : Dynamic C, HyperTerminal, Siemens PPPTracer, Ethereal. Decription : Developed GPS library that includes NMEA frame grabber for GGA, VTG, RMC, ZDA strings and configuration of GPS receiver through input NMEA/Sirf Binary Protocols. GSM communication was managed GSM AT commands (GSM 07.07, 07.05) & custom Siemens AT commands. Handled data storage through SPI flash on GSM Network failure. Implemented Memory Fault checking algorithms, Watchdog, Power-Saving modes, Exception Handling. Implemented the Serial Datalogger that logs the GPS data onto SPI Flash and delivers the same on connection to COM Port.
