Over the past thirty years I have worked in publishing as a by-line columnist (in Scotland and the US), journalist, feature writer, editor and sub-editor--the latter on two Scottish literary magazines. The first column I wrote, an illustrated half page for the Tayside Times (Dundee), was on local buildings of architectural/historical note. The other column was a page and three quarters for the Georgetown Times (South Carolina). These consisted of an interview of a particular artist living in the state and an analysis of his/her painting or sculptures. While in South Carolina, I also wrote for the South County Gazette on places of the county's local history. I am also the author of seven published hard-copy books. These include themes of popular history, architecture, biography and Jewish Wisdom. Five of my newer books are now on Kindle and a former publisher of one of my biographical books (containing six biographies) is now producing a Kindle issue of the same. The other Kindle e-books include "Punctuation Made Incredibly Simple", "Speak and Write Grammatically--The Fast and Easy Way" and "Trade Secrets"--an inside view of my experiences as an art & antiques dealer. Though my MA is in English/HIstory, I also studied philosophy at university, choosing to drop the subject after becoming joint winner of the Cogito Prize essay open to students of philsophy at all British universities. Obviously, I can furnish proof of the above.
