Unfortunately the work ended up being quite terrible. Gabriele and his team increased the price a first time. After 3 months of delays he ended up delivering something that was 50-60% there and then tried to increase the price another time.
Requirements were discussed all during 'design phase' but unfortunately the guy decided to claim he knew everything and learned how to do things while developing the project.
Total lost of money. Stay away!
This was my first time to use FreeLancer . Once the project was posted , many freelancers got back to me immediately but it was obvious that they were just replying with a pre-scripted responses .Gabriele got back to me fairly quickly with qualified comments indicating that he had actually read the project outline and knew what he was talking about . I selected Gabriele mainly for those reasons . Gabriele has a good command of English and we had no problems communicating even though I am based in western Canada and Gabriele is based in Italy with a 8 hour time difference . The Freelancer messaging system worked very well handling numerous discussions sometimes with sizable file attachments. We did have to use Google Meet several times to share the screen and this is something that FreeLancer might consider adding to their arsenal in future . I found the financial transactions process to be cumbersome but I guess once you are in the system , it does not need to be repeated . I would definitely use Freelancer again and recommend it to other employers .
