Editorial Design
Size: A5 Medium: Adobe Illustrator Year: 2017 The project analyses illustrated political satirical caricatures of Asians released in print media generated and distributed in the west, that is, England, Europe and America, during the late 19th century and the early 20th century. The outcomes of the research is represented in the form of informative newspapers and booklets that, on the cover, feature an original interpretation of a famous race-based caricature and posters that illustrate the power of visual communication with regards to the representation of a race. This is to aid a better understanding of Asian appropriation in the media. These publications were on display at the Lasalle Open House 2018
