Website - Elegant Events Wedding Planner
Simple HTML5 site using jQuery, PHP backend and CSS3 layout. Client Background: Elegant Events came to me for a website that can cater to their specific market. They wanted something that was targetted to the female prenuptuals, but that was not a complex, Content Managed site. So, I built them elegantevents.co.nz with a PHP/AJAX backend to handle the contact form, jquery for the slideshows and twitter feed and just some plain old HTML5 and CSS for design and layout. I was supplied with all the imagery and used a few jquery plugins, as the delivery schedule was within 7 days of meeting and accepting the job.
About Me
I am a freelance developer/designer with a journalism twist. I have 5 years of experience in the New Zealand media industry. I specialise in Advertising Writing, and HTML5 and CSS3 web design, with a dash of PHP and MySQL to add some functionality and flavour to my development work. My work is mainly done locally, and I manage and built the websites and advertising campaigns for Road Safety and Absolutely Original Knitwear, among many others.
