I'm a freelance translator on the language pair English-Portuguese-English and I want to introduce myself as a possible translator for this language pair, whenever you need. I work in Iberian Portuguese as well as Brazilian Portuguese and I'm English-Portuguese bilingual due to family background. I've been working since 2002 as a freelance translator. This started as an extra job, parallel to my main professional career of 25 years as a teacher of English and school Principal, but I decided to retire ahead of time to work solely on translations. I’m a full-time translator now, so I have full availability. I've specialized in website content translations, video games manuals and marketing materials, legal contracts and Engineering texts. I began working to dubbing and localization agencies, mainly in the area of Computers and Video Games. While so doing, I had the opportunity to work on a systematic basis to firms like Sony, Disney and Ubisoft. At the moment, I have a portfolio of customers from very different parts of the world and my expertise has been extending to other fields as I have a specific taste for language investigation and even when a job is a bit outside my area, I like the challenge of having to make some research to produce a good quality work. Also, in the legal field I have been involved in many translation jobs like contracts and public calls for tender of different public entities that must fulfill the language requirements of the EU legislation concerning the legal procedures to choose a contractor. Besides that, I also translate on a regular basis lots of personal documents, like school transcripts, diplomas, certificates, work, lease and rent contracts and so on. I'm absolutely accurate and my work is always delivered proofread and error free. I'm also very responsible and absolutely reliable as to deadlines.
