American by birth and growing up in the military around the world, I have experience much in my life. I went to college at Tampa University and West Virginia Career College for an AS degree in Office Technology (legal emphasis) and paralegal training. I worked in law firms for four years then bought a farm in West Virginia, sold it all in ten years to marry an Aussie and now living in Australia having one more adventure after another. I have been pursing freelance writing of historical essays and travel pieces since 1999. Mainly working for our small town newspaper, 4-H Organization, churches and historical societies in West Virginia. Since moving to Australia I have taken a course at the Australian College of Journalism for Travel writing and pursuing work in that field. My portfolio are articles published for inTravel magazine, Matador Travel Community, Cosmo Travel, review work for Rockpool publishing on "Dining Out With Kids", Hinzman Cousins Newsletter (publisher for two years), Blue Water Adventures Magazine, [login to view URL], Jackson County Historical Society, Hackers Creek Descendants, and Jackson County Herald newspaper. I have published one book for the Jackson County Historical Society regarding history of Evans Cemetery and families there.
